Koopa Universal Hardness Tester is designed and manufactured
with the latest standards agreements and technology to ensure
accurate and precise results. Its digital control system, high
precision sensors, speed and flexibility in choosing hardness
scales, and full automatic operation, make it suitable for
testing of almost all metals and some plastics in industry. The
user calibration menu lets the operator to calibrate all direct
and indirect parameters of device. The unique Koopa closed loop
electronic control system eliminates potential errors associated
with deadweight testers making the Series UV1 one of the most
stable and repeatable hardness tester ever designed.
The Koopa Universal Hardness Tester is a
high technology digital control system. The force application
system is a closed loop stepper motor system with force sensor,
stepper motor and digital control electronic which ensures load
application with 0.1% accuracy. The indenter displacement in
Rockwell methods is measured by a sensor with 0.1 micron
accuracy. The main core of the device is a micro controller
system which reads the sensors, control the motor, compute the
result and other statistical, and display them on LCD.
Every test would begin with setting the device parameters
(scale, dwell time, etc.) if needed, and then pushing the start
button. The whole testing process such as force application,
measuring the indenter displacement and calculations is achieved
automatically. The process steps are displayed visually. If an
error occurred during measurement an error message which
identify the error would be displayed.
All operations of the device is controlled with 6 menus: main
menu (main operation of the device), set menu (adjusting the
device parameters), memory menu (display of memory data),
printer menu (sending the memory data to printer or computer),
calculator menu (for calculation of Brinell and Vickers
formulas), calibration menu (user can calibrate the tester).
Users, who requires documentation and data storage in personal
computers, can use the USB port to transfer the data to a flash
memory.
